GLP-1 Agonists for Weight Loss

GLP-1 agonists, like semaglutide, are medications that help regulate blood sugar and support weight loss. These drugs mimic the GLP-1 hormone, which stimulates insulin production and reduces glucose release from the liver, leading to better blood sugar control. Additionally, they slow digestion, making you feel full longer and reducing appetite, which helps with weight loss by decreasing the urge to overeat. Ozempic has become very well-known recently, but it’s also known under its other name, Wegovy, which the FDA recently approved for weight loss.

Meet The Physicians

Michael S. Devine, MD

“Long before we ever went to medical school, my brother Dan and I imagined starting a private practice together where we would take extraordinary care of our patients. Over the years, our vision was refined by our recognition of the shortcomings and inherent flaws of our current healthcare system. It is in response to this, that we have created a boutqiue medical practice to deliver unparalleled primary care the way that it should be — convenient, comprehensive, and highly individualized.”

Daniel J. Devine, MD

“My brother Michael and I have set out to create a very special medical practice that provides our patients with world-class primary care that is unlimited, and always available when it is needed. We pride ourselves not only on the caliber of our training and clinical skills, but with our down-to-earth humanism that allows us to connect with our patients as though they are members of our very own family. We offer time, access, and personal attention – intangibles that are ever so important in forging a therapeutic relationship, yet so often left out of the hurried primary care visits of today.”

Michael S. Devine, MD

“This is about caring for someone the same way I would a family member. This is primary care exactly the way it should be — with zero compromises.”

Daniel J. Devine, MD

“I believe that medical care should be highly personalized and tailored around a patient’s goals and desires. Compassion, empathy, and social awareness are equally as important as medical knowledge.”

PICK IT UP

If we determine that a GLP-1 agonist will help you reach your health goals, we will send a prescription to a trusted compounding pharmacy, where you will be able to pick it up. Compounding pharmacies are distinct from your typical pharmacy and have popular medications in stock when other pharmacies don’t.

Our Process for Prescription Consultations

How it works:

Mimics a Natural Hormone:
GLP-1 agonists, like semaglutide found in Ozempic, act like the GLP-1 hormone your body naturally produces.

Controls Blood Sugar:
They help your body release insulin when blood sugar is high and decrease the sugar produced by your liver, keeping your blood sugar levels in check.

Curbs Appetite:
By slowing down digestion, these medications make you feel full longer, which can help with weight loss.

Pricing

The cost includes both the prescription and the fee for monthly check-ins. There are two options for the prescription: Semiglutide and Tirzepatide. Semiglutide, the active ingredient in Ozempic, is more established, but works slower. Tirzepatide is more powerful, but more expensive.

MONTHLY CHECK-IN WITH THE PHYSICIAN

We will set up a monthly call to adjust the dosage and schedule as needed, check-in on any side effects or questions, and monitor your progress towards reaching your goals. We’re also available to chat at any time, if something comes up.
